F. 10 Towing the vehicle

If the vehicle breaks down during use and it is not possible to repair it on site, it may be towed, as follows:
PROCEED WITH CARE
NEVER ATTEMPT TO TOW THE VEHICLE WITHOUT FOLLOWING THIS PROCEDURE. ALWAYS USE A TOWING BAR.
WARNING
ALWAYS PLACE WEDGES IN FRONT OF AND BEHIND THE WHEELS OF THE SWEEPER BEFORE YOU START TO WORK WITH THE PARKING BRAKE
ON, MAKE SURE THAT THE SWEEPER IS NOT ABLE TO START DRIVING OF ITS OWN ACCORD.
F. 10.1 Towing:
• Switch off the diesel engine. This engages the parking brake
• Deactivate the parking brake (see deactivating parking brake)
• Unscrew the 3 bolts (1) on the rear wheels
• Remove the disc (2) displaying "drive", and reverse it so that it displays "tow"
• Fit the disc (2) so that "tow" is visible
• Fully tighten the three bolts (1) on both rear wheels.
• Switch on the alarm lighting.
• Connect the towing bar between the roadsweeper and the towing vehicle.
WARNING
TOW THE MACHINE AT A MAXIMUM SPEED OF 15 KM/H. STEERING WILL BE MORE DIFFICULT DUE TO THE LACK OF HYDRAULIC POWER AND THE
BRAKE SYSTEM MAY FAIL. ALWAYS USE A TOW BAR.
