F. 7.7 Inspection points for the engine oil

Check the level of the engine oil.It is recommended to tip up the container and open the container door every evening after parking it in the garage.The oil level
can only be measured immediately if the sweeper was parked the night before with the hopper tipped up.If the sweeper was parked whilst the hopper was not
tipped up, then the hopper must first be tipped up and the engine must then be stopped.
DANGER
PLACE THE SAFETY BRACKET UNDER THE HOPPER WHEN IT IS TIPPED UP BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY WORK UNDER THE HOPPER.
The oil level can only be measured after a minimum of 5 minutes has passed after stopping the sweeper's engine.
F. 7.7.1 Measuring the oil level:
• Take a clean cloth or rag
• Remove the oil dipstick (1) from the engine
• Clean the dipstick (1) with the cloth or rag
• Place the dipstick (1) back in the engine as far as possible
• Remove the dipstick (1) from the engine again
• Check whether the oil level is between the maximum and minimum marks
• If the oil level is below the minimum mark, then the oil must be topped up (see opposite)
• Place the dipstick (1) back in the engine as far as possible.
F. 7.7.2 Topping up the oil:
• First, clean the area surrounding the oil filler cap (2)
• Unscrew the oil filler cap (2) from the cylinder-head cover
• Use a funnel or an oil can to add the required quantity of oil (see "Technical specifications" for the correct type of oil)
• Screw the oil filler cap (2) back on.
CAUTION
NEVER FILL THE OIL LEVEL ABOVE THE MAX.LEVEL.REMOVE ANY EXCESS OIL.
CAUTION
CONSIDER THE ENVIRONMENT.CLEAN SPILT OIL IMMEDIATELY.PLACE A CLOTH OR RAG THAT HAS OIL ON IT IN THE CHEMICAL WASTE
CONTAINER.ALSO PLACE OTHER WASTE PRODUCTS THAT HAVE OIL IN THEM (E.G. CANS, PLASTIC BOTTLES, ETC.) IN THE CHEMICAL WASTE
CONTAINER.
