E. 1.2 Drive

Check all the indicator lights and gauges on the iSystem LED display (9).If no abnormalities were found, you may drive off.
• If necessary, activate the desired lighting and/or beacon lights
• Switch the driving direction switch (6) to the desired driving direction
CAUTION
IF THE FOOT SWITCH (3) IS ACTIVATED DURING SWEEPING OPERATION, THE DRIVING DIRECTION IS SWITCHED TO REVERSE.ONLY ACTIVATE IF
THIS IS DESIRABLE.
• Depress the pedal (1) gradually.The sweeper begins to move.The farther the accelerator pedal is depressed, the faster the sweeper will travel.
CAUTION
IF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL (1) IS RELEASED DURING DRIVING/SWEEPING, THE HYDROSTATIC BRAKE IS ENGAGED.
E. 1.3 Brake
CAUTION
BRAKE GENTLY ON SLIPPERY OR WET ROADS TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SKIDDING.
The sweeper has two separate brake systems, which operate as follows:
E. 1.3.1 Hydrostatic brakes
When the accelerator pedal (1) is released, the sweeper's hydrostatic rear brakes are applied
E. 1.3.2 Footbrake
When the accelerator pedal (1) is released and the footbrake pedal (2) is depressed, the sweeper's hydraulic and hydrostatic brakes are applied at the rear
wheels and the hydraulic brakes at the front wheels
CAUTION
NEVER TURN OFF THE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY AFTER SWEEPING OR DRIVING.ALLOW THE ENGINE TO IDLE FOR AT LEAST ONE MINUTE BEFORE
TURNING OFF THE ENGINE.
