7.3.3 Electric back angle adjustment

INFORMATION
For safe operation, observe the information at the begin-
ning of chapter 7.3.
The backrest can be equipped with an optional electric back
angle adjustment feature (see Fig. 35). In the sitting position,
the backrest can be tilted back continuously by up to 25°.
The function is activated with the joystick in Additional func-
tions / Seat functions mode (see chapter 6.3.6 and 7.1.1) or
via the keypad (see chapter 7.5).

Mechanically elevating footrests

INFORMATION
On power wheelchairs with gas compression springs, it is
necessary to check for leaking oil around the piston rod.
Leaks reduce the functional capabilities of the gas com-
pression springs and may cause them to fail.
Defective gas compression springs (e.g. scratches or
damage to the piston rod caused by impact; deformation
of the cylinder tube) must be replaced immediately.
Piston rods do not require lubrication. They are mainte-
nance-free.
The Skippi plus power wheelchair can be equipped with
mechanically elevating footrests.
Proceed as follows to elevate the footrests:
1. Release the clamping lever (see arrow).
2. Select the desired position using the hole positions.
3. Engage the clamping lever.
