Defect / failure

A defect is the serious failure of a system component. A
failure is the most serious type of malfunction and causes an
immediate emergency stop of the system.
Defects / failures are indicated by a continuous sequential
light indicator with an audible signal.
After the malfunction has been corrected, the system is re-
activated by restarting it.
