A.7.1

... to the Power Source

Check the following items before connecting to the wall outlet:
Connect the wall outlet and the power supply connector at the WideTEK A2 with the
power cable.
A.7.1.1

Main Power Switch

The main power switch is located directly above the power supply connector. The
positions on the main power supply are marked with:
0 (zero)
Main power off

Main power on
A.7.2

...the Network Cable

The WideTEK A2 is delivered with a Cross-Over cable (green connectors) and a network
cable.
Use the Cross-Over cable to connect the WideTEK A2 directly to a PC via a network card.
Use the network cable to connect the WideTEK A2 to a network.
The port for connecting to the network is located next to the power supply connector
(Picture 1).
A.7.3

... the Foot Pedal Switch

The scan sequence can also be activated by an optional foot pedal switch.
The foot pedal switch connector is located right beside the stand-by button. It is marked
with "FS-1".
Note:
Switch the WideTEK A2 off before connecting / disconnecting the foot pedal
switch to the jack plug.

The wall outlet is in perfect condition and properly grounded.
The power cable is undamaged.
The wall outlet is equipped with a correctly dimensioned fuse.
Refer to the chapter D.1.
Turn the device off before plugging or unplugging any cable.
