Setting IP Address, Gateway and Subnet Mask
The values for the IP address, the gateway, and the subnet mask are set by using the
integrated S2N user interface.
All necessary steps to individually configure these parameters are described in the
following chapters.

Connecting the WideTEK A2 directly to a PC
Important:
A network adapter must be installed in the computer to which the
WideTEK A2 is to be connected.
Use the Cross-Over cable to connect WideTEK A2 and PC directly.
B.2.2
Adapting the PC's Network Parameters
Start the network configuration of your computer.
Set the IP address in the network configuration of the PC to an address in the same
subnet as the IP address of the scanner.
Example:
The IP address of the WideTEK A2 is: 192.168.1.50
The computer should get the address: 192.168.1.xxx
Insert for xxx any arbitrary value between 1 and 40.
Set the subnet mask of the computer in the network configuration identical to the
default value of the scanner
Windows 9x / ME/ NT: Close the network configuration and restart the computer to
Windows 2000 / XP:

activate the changed settings.
Close the network configuration to activate the new settings.
A restart is not necessary.
