CLUTCH BEARING INSPECTION
• Inspect the clutch release bearing for any abnormality, partic-
ularly cracks, to decide whether it can be reused or should be
replaced.
• Smooth engagement and disengagement of the clutch
depends on the condition of this bearing.
CLUTCH SLEEVE HUB/PRIMARY DRIVEN GEAR ASSEMBLY
• Inspect the slot of the clutch sleeve hub and primary driven
gear assembly for damage or wear caused by the clutch
plates. If necessary, replace it with a new one.

OIL PUMP

INSPECTION
• Rotate the oil pump by hand and check that it moves
smoothly.
• If it does not move smoothly, replace the oil pump assembly.
* Do not attempt to disassemble the oil pump assembly.
* The oil pump is available only as an assembly.

STARTER CLUTCH

INSPECTION
• Install the starter driven gear 1 onto the starter clutch 2.
• Turn the starter driven gear by hand.
• Inspect the starter clutch for a smooth movement.
• Inspect that the gear turns one direction only.
