Turbo> Sensor
Background
The induction control valve position sensor outputs a pulse signal
l
according to a change of the valve opening.
The engine control module checks an actual valve position when
l
the intake-air control valve drive motor was driven.
Range of Check
60 seconds or more have passed immediately after engine was
l
started.
Engine speed is approx. 50 r/min or more.
l
Battery voltage is 10 V or more.
l
Set Conditions
The intake-air control valve does not reach target position even
l
after the intake-air control valve drive motor is operated several
times.
When the range of check operations given above which
l
accompany starting of the engine are carried out four times
in succession, a problem is detected after each operation.

Background
The oxygen sensor converts the oxygen density in the exhaust
l
gas to a voltage and outputs it.
The engine control module checks an output voltage of the loop control) is per-

oxygen sensor when the oxygen volume in the exhaust gas
is little (Air/fuel ratio is rich.).
Range of Check
Approx. 8 minutes or more have passed after engine
l
Engine coolant temperature is approx. 80°C (176'F) or more.
l
Closed throttle position switch : OFF
l
The throttle position sensor output voltage is 4.1 V or more.
l
20 seconds have passed after deceleration finished.
l
Set Conditions
The heated oxygen sensor (rear) output voltage is 0.1 V or
l
less.
The heated oxygen sensor (front) output voltage is 0.5 V or
l
more.
The above conditions continue for a continuous period of 5
l
seconds.
