LUBRICATION SYSTEM

OIL COOLER

INSPECTION
Inspect the oil cooler and oil cooler water hoses for engine oil
leakage and engine coolant leakage.
Replace any defective parts if necessary.
REMOVAL
• Remove the under cowlings. (8-5)
• Drain engine oil. (2-12)
• Drain engine coolant. (2-17)
• Disconnect the oil cooler water hoses.
• Remove the oil cooler 1.
INSTALLATION
Install the oil cooler in the reverse order of removal. Pay atten-
tion to the following points:
• Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A" to the O-ring.
 99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A"

Replace the O-ring with a new one.
• Apply THREAD LOCK to the oil cooler mounting bolts and
install the oil cooler 1 as shown.
 99000-32050: THREAD LOCK "1342"
• Tighten the oil cooler mounting bolts to the specified torque.
 Oil cooler mounting bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
• Connect the oil cooler water hoses. (10-24)
• Install the exhaust pipe and muffler. (6-12)
• Pour engine coolant. (2-18)
• Pour engine oil. (2-13)
• Install the under cowlings. (8-5)
(or equivalent grease)
