Auto Format

There are two Auto Format options: CD/DVD Format with
New HD and Auto Format after FW Update.
Navigate to the CD/DVD Format with New HD feature in

the Hard Disk Setup menu (see Figure 6) using the arrow
buttons on the remote, and press the plus or minus buttons
to turn the feature OFF or ON. Enabling this feature will
allow the DVR to automatically sense and format a new
hard drive.

Navigate to the Auto Format After FW Update feature in the
Hard Disk Setup menu (see Figure 7) using the arrow buttons
on the remote, and press the plus or minus buttons to turn
the feature OFF or ON. Enabling this feature will allow the
hard drive to automatically be updated to the correct
firmware version.
4.
To save your changes and return to the Main Menu, press
the Menu button on the remote.
