Hybrid Quest™ Hardware Installation
Plan the location for each piece of your mobile video surveillance system. It is important to mount the MDVR in a location providing
easy access to the front and rear of the device. This ensures you will be able to quickly and easily access the rear of the MDVR, where
all connections are made. You will always need access to the front of the MDVR to pull the hard drive.

The bulkhead is the recommended location to mount the
DVR. The cables should be run to the bulkhead from their
source (i.e. power, signals, cameras, GPS antenna, etc.).

Drill a hole slightly to the left of the mounting location of the
Hybrid Quest™. The hole should be a diameter larger than
the end of your largest cable (approximately 1.5 inches - see
Figure 1). We recommend placing a rubber grommet around
the edges of this hole to prevent the cable being cut by
sliding across its sharp edges.

Run all cables, including power, signals, cameras, etc. to the
mounting location for the Hybrid Quest™. Pull the cables
through the hole drilled in step two (see Figure 2).

Using the four screws supplied, attach the mounting bracket
to the right of the cable hole (see Figure 3).
5.
Using the two screws supplied, attach the Hybrid Quest™
to the mounting bracket by screwing it into the rear of the
MDVR (see Figure 4).
