Platen Open Switch

Removal
1. Disconnect the AC power cord from the rear of the printer. Open the top
cover. Remove paper from printer.
2. Remove the left side panel as described on page 6–4.
3. Disconnect the white lead (1) and the red lead (2) from the platen open
switch (3).
4. Remove two screws (4), washers (5), spacers (6), and nut plate (7).
Installation
1. Connect the white lead and the red lead to the switch.
2. Position the switch, two spacers, and the nut plate.
3. Install two screws and washers. Do not tighten.
4. Position the switch so that the forms thickness adjustment lever activates
it when the lever is .75 to 1 inch beyond the "C" position.
5. Install the left side panel as described on page 6–4.
6. Replace paper in printer. Close the top cover and connect the AC power
cord.
