Paper Motion Sensor

Removal
1. Disconnect the AC power cord from the rear of the printer. Open the top
cover.
2. Remove the right side panel as described on page 6–4.
3. Unlock the right tractor (1) and the left tractor (2).
4. Remove one screw (3) and washer (4).
5. Unscrew the support shaft (5) from the knob (6).
6. Move the support shaft to the right until it clears the left tractor.
7. Tip the left tractor to gain access to the nut (7).
8. Remove the nut, washer (8), and retainer (9).
9. Disconnect the sensor (10) from the cable (11).
10. Separate the sensor from the left tractor.
