Installation
1. To install the left tractor:
a. Place the tractor in the printer.
b. Position the cable clamp on the left tractor and install screw (12).
c. Slide the splined shaft into the tractor. Make sure a specially

2. To install the right tractor:
a. Slide the right tractor onto the support shaft.
b. Put the support shaft with both tractors into the printer.
c. Install the splined shaft into the tractors. See detail A. Observe that

4. Install one screw (6) and washer.
5. Install the bushing on the splined shaft.
6. Tighten the setscrew (3).
7. Check the paper feed belt tension as described on page 5–26 of Chapter
5, Alignments and Adjustments. Adjust if necessary.
8. Install the tractor support shaft plate and adjust the shaft position so that
the right tractor moves freely. Then, tighten the mounting screws (14).
9. Verify that the tractors are parallel on the shafts. Adjust if necessary.
10. Install the side panels as described on page 6–4. Close the top cover and
connect the AC power cord.
