APPENDIX A
Postamble
Sets the postamble that is appended to any data you scan with the 700 Series
Computer. Common postambles include cursor controls, such as tabs or carriage
return line feeds.

When you enter the AE command without data, the postamble is disabled. If you want to use
quotation marks or these combinations of characters:

as part of the appended data, separate those characters from the AE command with quotes.
If you do not use quotes as described here, the 700 Series Computer will interpret the char-
acters as another configuration command. See the following example:
To use the two-character string BV as a postamble, scan this command (as a Code 39 label)
EXAMPLE:
or send this command through the network: $+AE"BV"
Tap the Postamble parameter, then enter a postamble value to change
this parameter setting.

AEdata
where data is any acceptable values up to 31 ASCII characters. Embedded
null (<NUL >) characters are not allowed. Default is the tab character (\t).
