1. Inspect:
Primary coil resistance
Out of specification
Tester (+) lead
Tester (–) lead
Primary coil
resistance
0.20 ~ 0.30
20 ˚C (68 ˚F)
2. Inspect:
Secondary coil resistance
Out of specification
Tester (+) lead
Tester (–) lead
Secondary coil
resistance
9.5 ~ 14.3 k at
20 ˚C (68 ˚F)
NOTE:
When inspecting the secondary coil resis-
tance, remove the spark plug cap.
