Removing a Summit X480 Series Switch

This section provides procedures for removing a Summit X480 series switch from a two-post or four-
post equipment rack.

Removing the Power Supplies

Before you remove a Summit X480 series switch from the rack, remove all installed power supplies, as
described in this section.

Removing a Summit X480 AC Power Supply

CAUTION
The PSU may be hot to the touch; wear thermal protective gloves when handling the PSU during removal.
To remove a Summit X480 AC PSU:
1 Disconnect the AC power cord from the wall outlet and from the power input connector on the PSU.
2 Push the latching tab to the right as you pull outward on the handle to disengage the PSU internal
connectors (see Figure

3 Carefully slide the PSU the rest of the way out of the switch.
