Adjusts
the output characteristics
of the speakers
based on
manually
set parameters.
In the "Configuration," you can select the speaker size
characteristic (Large or Small). Select the size (sound
reproduction capacity) that matches your speakers.
Woofer
diameter
• 6-114 in (16 cm) or larger _
Large
• 6-1/4 in (16 cm) or smaller
_
Small
When speaker size is set to "Small," low-frequency components
of the speakers that you configured are produced from the
subwoofer (or from the front speakers if there is no subwoofer).
Front
Selects the size (sound reproduction capacity) of the front
speakers. _5<_
Select this tUr large speakers.
The t_ont speakers
will
produce
all of the front channel
t_equency
components.
Select this tUr small speakers.
The subwoofer
will
produce
front channel
low-frequency
components,

Center
Selects the size of the center speakers.
Select this when a large center speaker
is connected.
Select this when a small center
speaker is connected.
Select this when there is no center
speaker. The front
speakers
will produce
center channel
audio.
Surround
Selects
the
size
of the
surround
speakers.
Select this when the surround
speakers
are large.
Select this when the surround
speakers
are small.
Select this when no surround
speakers
are connected.
The front speakers
will produce
surround
channel
audio signals.
• When set to "None," no sound is produced fiom the surround
back speaker even if that speaker is connected.
• When set to "None," the sound programs will change to Virtual
CINEMA DSP mode.
SurroundBack
Selects the size of the surround back speakers.
Select when one large surround
back speaker
is
connected.
Select when two large surround
back speakers
are
connected.
Select when one small surround
back speaker
is
connected.
Select when two small surround
back speakers
are
connected.
Select this when no surround
back speakers
are
connected.
When there are no surround speakers are connected, the setting
will automatically change to "None."
You can set surround back audio signals, including fiom the
playback source, to be mixed down and produced fiom a single
speaker (6. l-channel layout) or produced fiom left and right
sunound speakers (5. l-channel layout).
Front Presence
Specify connection of front presence speakers.
Select this when t_ont presence

the front speakers to the subwoollzr by using "Bass Cross Over."
