Connect one end of a SAS cable to RAID controller 1 of the base disk array enclosure. Connect
the other end to SAS input port of expansion controller 1 of expansion disk array enclosure 0.

Connect one end of a SAS cable to SAS output port of expansion controller 0 of the expansion
disk array enclosure 0. Connect the other end to SAS input port of expansion controller 0 of
expansion disk array enclosure 1.

Connect one end of a SAS cable to SAS output port of expansion controller 1 of the expansion
disk array enclosure 0. Connect the other end to SAS input port of expansion controller 1 of
expansion disk array enclosure 1.
5.
Connect one end of a SAS cable to SAS output port of expansion controller 0 of the expansion
disk array enclosure 1. Connect the other end to SAS input port of expansion controller 0 of
expansion disk array enclosure 2.
6.
Connect one end of a SAS cable to SAS output port of expansion controller 1 of the expansion
disk array enclosure 1. Connect the other end to SAS input port of expansion controller 1 of
expansion disk array enclosure 2.
7.
Connect black power cables to power module on the left.
8.
Route the black power cables through the left side of the rack and connect them to a PDM.
9.
Connect gray power cables to the power modules on the right.
10.
Route the gray power cables through the right side of the rack and connect them to a PDM.
11.
Repeat steps 1 — 10 for each array.
12.
Secure the SAS cables of each array together with a Velcro tie.
