• Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem
is solved.
• See the Parts Listing, TD200x Machine Types 3719, 3821, 3822, and 3823 to determine which
components are customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units
(FRU).
• If an action step is preceded by "(Trained service technician only)," that step must be performed only by
a trained service technician.

Description
System board (BRD)
An error occurred on the system
board.
PCI bus
A PCI adapter has failed.
Fan
A fan has failed or is operating too
slowly.
Power supply
A power supply has failed or has
been removed.
Note: In a redundant power
configuration, the dc power LED
on one power supply might be off.
Action
a. Check the LEDs on the system board to identify
the component that is causing the error. The BRD
LED can be lit for the following conditions:
• Failed or missing battery
• Failed voltage regulator
b. Check the system-event log for information about
the error.
c. Replace any failed or missing replaceable
components, such as the battery.
d. (Trained service technician only) If a voltage
regulator has failed, replace the system board.
a. See the system-event log (see System-event log).
b. Check the LEDs on the PCI slots to identify the
component that is causing the error, and reseat
the failing adapter.
c. Replace the following components one at a time,
in the order shown, restarting the server each
time:
1) Failing adapter
2) (Trained service technician only) System
board
a. Reinstall the removed fan.
b. If an individual fan LED is lit, replace the fan.
c. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board.
a. Check the individual power-supply LEDs.
b. Reseat the following components:
1) Power supply
2) (Trained service technician only)
Power-supply cage cables
c. Replace the following components one at a time,
in the order shown, restarting the server each
time:
1) Power supply
2) (Trained service technician only)
