Removal
Caution: These components are susceptible to electrostatic
discharge. Observe all ESD procedures to avoid damage.
Warning: Switch off the power and disconnect the Power Cord.
1.
Remove the Lower Rear Cover (RRP 1.7 Lower Rear Cover).
2.
Disconnect P/J168, P/J167, P/J166, P/J165, P/J164, P/J163, P/J162, and P/J161
from the LVPS Assembly.
Caution: In the next step, when removing the four LVPS mounting
screws, take note of the color. Two are silver colored and
two have a slight gold tint. The gold screws secure the
circuit board the frame. The silver screws secure the heat
sink to the frame.
3.
Remove the four screws that secure the LVPS Assembly to the printer.
4.
Remove the LVPS Assembly.
Replacement
Reinstall the components in the reverse order.
Note:
Reinstall the silver and gold screws in the correct position
noted in step 3 or the threads can be stripped.
