DNS SERVER 1 - 5
Network >
Set the DNS - Domain Name Server - Address to define the network addresses for DNSs.
LAN Settings >
Up to 5 addresses may be specified. If the network addresses are unknown, please contact your LAN
administrator or the Internet Service Provider.
IP Settings >
DNS Server Address Format:
DNS SETTINGS
IP Address: 10.0.0.2
DNS Domain Name: example.com

Network >
DNS Domain Name is the default domain name suffix which is added to unqualified names.
LAN Settings >
Example: If the DNS Domain Name is company.com and the name to lookup is videosystem, this will
result in the DNS lookup videosystem.company.com.

H.323 CALL SETUP
Control Panel >
H.323 Call Setup defines whether to use a Gatekeeper, Call Manager or Direct calling.
Network >
LAN Settings >
GATEKEEPER: The system will use a Gatekeeper to make a H.323 call. When you select this option the
Gatekeeper Settings menu is enabled for configuration.
H.323 SETTINGS
CALL MANAGER: The system will use a Call Manager to make a H.323 call. When you select this option the
Call Manager Settings menu is enabled for configuration.
DIRECT: An IP-address must be dialled in order to make a H.323 call. The system will not use a Gatekeeper
or Call Manager

H.323 PREFIX
Network >
When dialing a number prefixed with digits specified by H.323 Prefix, and with Network set to Auto, an H.323
call will be placed.
LAN Settings >
Example: If H.323 Prefix is set to "555" and Network is set to Auto, then dialing "55582" will select H.323.
H.323 SETTINGS

E.164 ALIAS
When using a Gatekeeper, the system will send a message to the Gatekeeper containing both the E.164 Alias
Network >
and the H.323 ID of the system.
LAN Settings >
This is the E.164 address of the system, according to the numbering plan implemented in the Gatekeeper.
H.323 Settings >
The E.164 Alias is equivalent to a telephone number, sometimes combined with access codes.
GATEKEEPER SETTINGS
E.164 Alias can have a maximum of 15 digits and valid characters are 0–9, * and #.
