As an alternative to manually modifying the con guration le, if you need to make a new le system
after upgrading K2 software, the required values are set automatically by the upgraded version of
Storage Utility.
This task applies to the following devices:
K2 Solo Media Servers and stand-alone K2 Summit Production Clients. This includes internal
storage and direct-connect storage K2 Summit Production Clients.
NOTE: Make sure the write lter is disabled.
1. On a stand-alone K2 system, using Notepad, open the media le system (SNFS) con guration

3. Close, and if necessary save, the SNFS con guration le.
If you made changes, the K2 system must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
The restart later in this upgrade procedure is suf cient to put the changes into effect.

Prepare SiteConfig for software deployment to stand-alone K2 systems

Do the following to prepare SiteCon g for the software upgrade.
1. Make the following les accessible to the SiteCon g control point PC:
2. If a newer version of SiteCon g is available for upgrade and you have not yet upgraded
SiteCon g, do the following:
