Backup and restore
Software backup is provided using the following set of CDs and
DVDs.
• Processor Unit boot CD (allows the computer to boot)
• Processor Unit image (DVD) (generic, contains operating
system)
• Processor Unit image (DVD) (contains your own image
backup made during installation)
The image DVD provided with the Processor Unit is generic.
If you use this generic image, you must also activate the Windows
license within 30 days.
We strongly advice you to create your own backup DVD as
described in section Creating a backup image DVD on page 60.
Creating a backup image DVD
This procedure is used when you wish to create a backup DVD
containing your entire SH90 installation. The application used to
do the backup is

To create the backup image, you need the

Connect a computer keyboard to one of the USB connectors
on the computer.
Power up the Processor Unit with the front mounted on/off

button (behind the lid).

Insert the
Boot CD

Observe the menu that appears on the display.
Remove the

Boot CD
At the
prompt, press

Follow the instructions provided. Allow the computer to

create the backup image, and burn it on the DVD.
Restore from a backup image DVD
This procedure is used when you wish to restore the SH90
software from a pre-made backup DVD containing your entire
installation. The image DVD may either be generic, or it may be
custom made to fit you system. The application used to restore
from the backup DVD is
