Video Board Removal

If you are removing an AGP or PCI video board, use the removal procedure for an AGP or
PCI expansion board (see "Expansion Board Removal" in Section 3).

Processor Subsystem Removal

The system board has two SEC cartridge Slot 1 connectors. To remove a processor
subsystem (CPU module and heatsink) from the system board, proceed as follows:
1.
Turn off the system and disconnect the system power cord from the power
source.
2.
As viewed from the front of the chassis, remove the left side cover on the system
unit (see "System Unit Covers" in Section 3).
3.
Remove the drive cage (see "Removing the Drive Cage").
Locate the processor socket (see "System Board Sockets and Connectors" in

Section 3). Label and disconnect any cables that block the processor.
Release the locking tabs holding the processor in the retention mechanism by
5.
pressing them toward the processor.
6.
Lift the processor out of the retention mechanism.
