T
On LAN
This field enables the system to be contacted via a LAN even when the system is
in a power reduction state. Choose "Power On" (the default) to restore the system
to full power so the LAN connection can be made. Choose "Stay Off" if you do
not want full power restored. (Wake on LAN does not work if the Restore On
AC/Power Loss field is set to "Stay Off.")
T
On PME
This field controls how the system responds to a PCI Power Management Enable
(PME) wake up event. The choices are "Power On" (the default), and "Stay Off."
T
Quick Boot Mode
When Quick Boot Mode is set to "Enabled" (the default), the system boots
without running some POST tests.
T
Boot Order
These fields allow you to set the order in which the system's drives boot up. The
default order is:
First Boot Device: Removable Devices
Second Boot Device: ATAPI CD-ROM Drive
Third Boot Device: Hard Disk
Fourth Boot Device: Network Boot
Fifth Boot Device; LANDesk Server (this field only appears when an Intel
Pro 100 LAN board is installed in the system).
T
Hard Drive
This field lists the bootable hard disk drives in the system as well as bootable ISA
boards.
T
Removable Devices
This field lists the bootable removable device drives (for example, diskette, Zip) in
the system. The first device in the list is the bootable removable device (if any).
NOTE: If a Zip drive is installed, a "Removable
Format" field appears below the "Removable
Devices" field. The "Removable Format" field
sets the drive as either a Removable (the default)
or Hard Drive device.
T
Boot Time Diagnostic Screen
When set to "Enabled," diagnostic information is displayed down the screen as the
system boots. The default setting is "Disabled."
