Hi-Z & HV Hi-Z Sync Input/Output Boards Specifications
Applies to I/O boards FG1046-443(HV Hi-Z Sync), FG1046-551, FG1046-554, FG1046-557,
FG1046-560, FG1046-563, FG1046-566, and FG1046-569.
Also applies to Hi-Z and HV Hi-Z sync boards contained in pre-configured systems (see page 89).

Attaching Cables

When attaching video input and output cables, refer to the sheet labeled "AutoPatch Optima Connector
Guide" that shipped with the system. The sheet shows where to attach each cable on the rear of each
enclosure. Follow the sheet exactly; the system was programmed at the factory to operate only as
indicated on the sheet. For multi-enclosure systems, each enclosure will be numbered (e.g., "Chassis 1
of 3") on a label located on the left side (near the power receptacle).
The input connectors (white BNCs) are on the left side of each board, and the output connectors (black
BNCs) are on the right side. Input and output connectors are numbered separately. The number of BNC
connectors depends on the I/O configuration. The enclosure may also contain I/O boards for additional
signal types.
To connect video inputs and outputs:

Fasten the cables onto the input and output BNC connectors (see FIG. 73).

Make sure the video cable is connected to the correct BNC connector on the correct enclosure.
Standard video, Hi-Z Sync, and HV Hi-Z Sync boards look similar to wideband (300 MHz) and
500 MHz video boards, but the "AutoPatch Optima Connector Guide" identifies them.
