Description
3.5.3.2 Tyre suspension
The tyre pressure has a great effect on ride
comfort. Tyres with a high tyre pressure transmit
more impacts from uneven roads to the frame and
handlebars than tyres with low air pressure.
Soft tyres do not deflect; they absorb smaller
bumps in the road thanks to the tyre's sag and
ability to deform. Small obstacles therefore have
no impact.
It is therefore recommended to use as low a tyre
pressure as possible to ensure greater ride
comfort (see Section 6.5.8).
