For your personal safety, take the following precautions:

Persons in the closed cell for the LaserHybrid process must:

Before starting work, all persons entrusted with carrying out work on the
LaserHybrid welding head shall undertake
- to observe the basic regulations on workplace safety and accident
prevention
- to read the sections on "safety rules" and the "warnings" contained in
this manual, and to sign to confirm that they have understood these.
All workplaces must be inspected and checked regularly after work has
finished.
- wear stout footwear that will also insulate even in wet conditions
- protect their hands by wearing appropriate gloves (electrically insulating,
heat-proof)
- protect their eyes from laser beams by wearing regulation laser goggles.
In addition, they must protect their faces and eyes from UV rays with a
safety shield containing regulation filter glass for laser Protection Class 4
and held or worn in front of the laser goggles. Even when using this
regulation filter glass for laser Protection Class 4, they should NOT look
into the laser beam.
- only wear suitable (i.e. flame-retardant) clothing
- use ear-protectors (120 dbA) to shield their ears from the cross-jet noise
Where other persons are in the closed cell for the LaserHybrid process, you
must
- instruct them regarding the dangers,
- provide them with protective equipment and/or
- erect protective partitions or curtains.
Extract all fumes and harmful gases away from the workplace, using suitable
means.
Ensure a sufficient supply of fresh air.
Keep all solvent vapours well away from the laser and the arc radiation.
