7.5 Adjusting the Quality for Various Communications

Encrypted Channel Quality Threshold

Encrypted Channel Quality Threshold is the function to adjust the quality for encrypted communications in the
DMR format.
The repeater executes error detection when the repeater receives an encrypted signal. If the errors of the received
encrypted signal are more than the value configured in Encrypted Channel Quality Threshold, the repeater
determines that the quality of the encrypted signal is low, and the repeater does not receive or repeat the encrypted
signal.
Note
This function works on a channel with "DMR" or "Mixed" configured in Channel Type.

Vocoder FEC Threshold

Vocoder FEC Threshold is the function to execute error correction when the repeater receives an audio signal in
the DMR format.
If the number of bit errors of when an audio signal in the DMR format is received is less than the value configured in
Vocoder FEC Threshold, the repeater repeats the audio signal after executing error correction for the received
signals.
If the number of bit errors of when an audio signal in the DMR format is received is more than or equal to the value
configured in Vocoder FEC Threshold, the repeater repeats the audio signal without executing error correction for
the received signals.

• This function works on a channel with "DMR" or "Mixed" configured in Channel Type.
