4 TRANSMISSION/ RECEPTION/ REPEAT
4.7 Restricting the Continuous Transmission Time (Time-out Timer (TOT))

TOT Reset Time

TOT Reset Time is the length of time until the elapsed time for Time-out Timer is initialized and reset to zero.
Example 1: Time-out Timer: 30 sec, TOT Reset Time: 10 sec
Also, retransmission within the configured time of TOT Reset Time 1 is treated as continuous transmission by the
repeater. In the following example, the countdown for Time-out Timer continues because transmission is started by
using the PTT (microphone) switch or the Console PTT control while the TOT Reset Time is counting down.
Example 2: Time-out Timer: 30 sec, TOT Reset Time: 10 sec
Note
• If "Off" is configured in TOT Reset Time, Time-out Timer is immediately reset after the repeater ends transmission.
• If transmission is started by using the Repeat PTT control or the Network PTT control while the TOT Reset Time is counting
down after transmission by using the Console PTT control ends, Time-out Timer for the Console PTT control is reset.
