6.8 Sending and Receiving a DTMF Code

* and # Digit Time

* and # Digit Time is the function to extend the length of time longer than ordinary for the repeater to automatically
send the * tone and # tone of the DTMF code.
Since the * tone and # tone are more frequently used for special tasks than 0 to 9 tones, this function is used for the
receiving subscriber unit to easily recognize the * tone and # tone.
The length of time to send the * tone and # tone is the sum of the transmission time configured in DTMF Speed and
the * and # Digit Time.
Transmit time for the * tone and # tone = the value configured in DTMF Speed (Digit Time) + the value configured
in * and # Digit Time
Example: * and # Digit Time: 100 ms, Encode Code: *01
Note
If the first digit of the DTMF code is the * tone or # tone, the first digit is sent out for the length of time configured in First Digit
Time or in * and # Digit Time, whichever is longer.
