Appendix A. Installing the RXi2-BP Gateway
Important
Emerson offers two gateway devices as part of the FBxEdge solution: the default RXi2-LP
and the optional RXi2-BP. Consult with your Emerson Impact Partner to determine which
gateway device meets your organization's needs. This appendix discusses the
installation of the RXi2-BP gateway.
When delivered from the factory, the FBxEdge software is pre-installed on the RXi2-BP
gateway. You must still find a suitable location for the gateway.

Unpacking and Inspecting
If the RXi2-BP IPC operates in an area of high ambient temperature up to 70 °C (149 F°),
the surface of the enclosure, especially the heat sink, can reach a temperature of 80 °C
(185 °F) and above. Be careful and do not touch the RXi2-BP IPC with bare fingers.
