Information
The type of network interface:
Ethernet (eth0 or eth1)

Wi-Fi (wlan0)

LTE (wwan0)

The physical address of the network interface
The logical address the software assigns to the network
interface
The type of traffic running through the interface, either
inet (IPv4) or inet6 (IPv6)
The type of address space for the network:
Private; the network interface can interact with any

other network because the IP has global scope
Link-local; the IP address is valid only on local network

segments
Note: IPv6 requires a link-local address on every
network interface.
Information
The network area of the LTE modem. Home, for example,
indicates that all devices are in close proximity to the
modem
The signal strength of the LTE modem, ranging from 0 (no
signal) to 5 (a very strong signal)
The mobile network from which the modem
communicates
The modem's IPv4 address
The modem's IPv6 address
International Mobile Equipment Identity: a unique number
that identifies mobile network devices
Integrated Circuit Card Identifier: the SIM card's serial
number
Access Point Name: serves as a gateway for mobile
