Cleaning the X-ray Detector
This section provides details on how to clean the detector. The X-ray detector and connector
cables are likely to be contaminated during use. The specific material most likely to become
contaminated is the X-ray grade carbon fiber input window and housing.

Material Compatible Chemicals for Cleaning
All chemicals listed below are approved for use can be used for cleaning device surfaces. To
achieve full cleaning results, use mild Soap and Water.

Turn off the X-ray detector and detach all cables, if applicable.

Locate and read the cleaning instructions specified on the cleaning product label. Follow the

product instructions for cleaning.

Obtain a dry towel.

Wet the towel with the mild soap and water solution.

Visually inspect the device. If contamination is present, use the towel to remove the

contamination from the device surface. Use multiple towels, as applicable, to remove the
visible contamination.
Take care to remove contamination from seams, joints, and other difficult-to-reach areas.

Dispose of each towel used for cleaning.

When the X-ray detector is going to be cleaned, be sure to power down
the X-ray detector and unplug the cables. Ignoring this warning may
result in explosion, fire, or electrical shock, which may result in severe
personal injury, death, or substantial product damage.
Do not use flowing liquid or immerse the X-ray detector. Doing so will
short out the electronics in the X-ray detector and destroy the device.
Do not sterilize the X-ray detector, doing so can permanently damage
it.
If you are using a chemical other than those specified, we recommend
you consult a specialist for the procedure for cleaning.
The X-ray detector is not waterproof.
