Detector_Ready_Out Signal

Detector_Ready_Out is a detector driven signal to the system integrator. Detector_Ready_Out
indicates when the detector is ready to receive software commands and accept External_Sync
inputs. If Detector_Ready_Out is inactive, the detector will not respond to External_Sync inputs
and software commands may be delayed. Detector_Ready_Out will be inactive during detector
boot-up, mode switch, and during certain fault states.
The Detector_Ready_Out output is present on pins 8 and 9 of the male 9-pin D-sub, shown in
Figure 7, on page 28
and
Table 17 on page
28.
The Detector_Ready_Out circuit is shown in
Figure 11, on page
32. In a typical application, an
opto-coupler with anode to pin 9 through a series resistor, and cathode connected to pin 8 of the
9-pin D-sub connector is used. The series resistor is used to limit the maximum current draw on
the 5 V provided on pin 9 to < 25 mA.
