External_Sync Input Signal

The detector will start a frame readout at the rising edge of the signal present at the
External_Sync input. External_Sync mode must be selected via the API,
vsp2_set_user_sync(), prior to starting acquisition. Pulses must be greater than 10μs to start a
new frame read-out.
The X-ray detector's External_Sync input is present on pin 3 and 4, see
Figure 7, on page
28.
The detector input circuit is shown in
to pin 4 of the 9-pin D-sub connector. Applied voltage should be between 5V to 15V,
corresponding to approximately 6 to 25 mA input current, and a minimum pulse width of 10µs.
In the SDK, the External_Sync is referred to as User_Sync.
