The RDR ASSIGNMENT menu is used to select whether the IRIG or
VITC the reader will be used in the momentary and continuous Jam
Sync modes.

Select Rass auto to configure the reader to automatically switch
between IRIG serial time code and Vertical Interval Time Code (VITC)
reading. The reader can be set to recover VITC from a specific range
of video lines. The current active reader will be shown in brackets.
Select Rass *irig* vitc to configure the IRIG serial time code (LTC) as
the active reader.
Select Rass irig *vitc* to configure the Vertical Interval Time Code
(VITC) as the active reader.
The IRIG RDR MODE menu item is used to select the type of
information that is contained in the time and user bits of the IRIG
reader.
Select IR mode irig day for normal operation. The IRIG time will be
placed into the time buffers and shown as a time value including
milliseconds. The day of the year information will be placed into the
user bits reader buffer and shown as a day value.
Select IR mode irig data for debugging applications. The raw IRIG time
and user bits will be both be displayed as numeric data.
