    Model 8010TM-IRIG SDI Time Code Master with IRIG Reader Manual OVERVIEW The 8010TM-IRIG SDI Time Code Master is a full function time code reader/generator system for serial digital video. The 8010TM-IRIG is a combination generator for SMPTE Linear Time Code (LTC) and Digital Vertical Interval Time Code (D-VITC), reader for IRIG-B code and D-VITC (standard SMPTE time code and special IRIG encoded VITC), and contains a high resolution character inserter which can be burn the generator or reader numbers directly into the digital program output as well as an optional...

Video Input The 8010TM-IRIG requires that a digital video source be connected to the SDI IN video input. The 8010TM-IRIG may be configured to accept either 525 or 625 line digital video in the component (4:2:2) format.

Therefore it is preferable to use an unbalanced input applied to pin 3 in order to eliminate this phase sensitivity. Pin 2 should be connected to ground in this case.

    Model 8010TM-IRIG SDI Time Code Master with IRIG Reader Manual HOW TO OPERATE THE SDI TIME CODE MASTER The 8010TM-IRIG is a special purpose time code generator/reader designed to read IRIG-B code commonly in use within the United States government agencies and supporting private industries.     Model 8010TM-IRIG SDI Time Code Master with IRIG Reader Manual Gmode time rctl sets the 8010TM-IRIG into a user bit remote control mode. In this mode six of the input pins on the parallel remote control port are used to control the setting of the six remote control user bits. When the 7721GPI-D GPI decoder module reads the VITC, these encoded user bits directly control six contact closure outputs.

Setting the Generator User Bits When the 8010TM-IRIG generator is operating in the time data mode, the user can set the generator user bits using the following procedure.

Daylight Saving Time Support Daylight Saving Time (DST) or Summer Time as it is called in many countries, is a way of getting more out of the summer days by advancing the clocks by one hour during the summer.
