Elektrochirurgický prístroj aktivujte len vtedy, keď ste pripravení aplikovať elektrochirurgický prúd
a aktívny hrot sa nachádza v zornom poli a v blízkosti cieľového tkaniva. Elektrochirurgický prístroj
vypnite skôr, ako hrot opustí operačné pole.
Elektródy sú určené len na jednorazové použitie. Po použití ich odhoďte do nádoby odolnej voči
prepichnutiu, aby nedošlo k poraneniu. Tieto elektródy nevydržia opakovanú sterilizáciu. Nesterilizujte
ich.
Pri monopolárnych elektrochirurgických zákrokoch sa uistite, či je vhodne vybraná spätná elektróda
pacienta, či je správne aplikovaná na pacienta a pripojená na elektrochirurgický generátor.
Keď aplikujete spätnú elektródu pacienta, dbajte na to, aby celá podložka priľnula k pacientovi.
Jednorazové spätné elektródy pacienta nepoužívajte opakovane. Ak má spätná elektróda poškodený
obal alebo ak vyschol gél alebo lepiaci materiál, nepoužívajte ju. Ak sa po aplikovaní spätnej
elektródy pacient pohol alebo bola zmenená jeho poloha, skontrolujte, či je spätná elektróda
v pevnom kontakte s pokožkou a či sú neporušené všetky pripojenia.
Dbajte na to, aby sa na spätnú elektródu nevyliali žiadne roztoky. Ak k tomu dôjde, spätnú elektródu
odstráňte, osušte pokožku a aplikujte novú spätnú elektródu. Vo vlhkom prostredí sa spätná elek-
tróda môže odlepiť.
UPOZORNENIA

Táto elektróda má povlak na zníženie nalepovania príškvaru. Ak sa na čistenie elektródy použije
oškrabovacia podložka alebo iný abrazívny alebo ostrý predmet, povlak sa môže poškodiť.
Použitie elektródy s povlakom pri vysokom výkone môže spôsobiť poškodenie povlaku.
Poznámka: Neupravujte hrot elektródy. Úpravy hrotu môžu viesť k zlomeniu hrotu alebo inému
poškodeniu.
DÔLEŽITÉ: Elektródu často čistite navlhčenou gázou alebo iným materiálom vhodným na daný typ
elektródy.
INDIKÁCIE NA POUŽITIE: Tento nástroj sa používa na koaguláciu tkaniva v operačnom poli.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Maximum Power Settings
– High power settings may cause degradation of the electrode and reduce or impair perfor-
mance. The manufacturer recommends that the lowest possible power settings be used to
achieve the desired tissue effect.
– Power settings guidelines may vary due to differences in surgical techniques, patients,
electrodes, and surgical set-up. If you are not familiar with the system or the proper setting is
not known, use a lower than normal setting until the desired clinical effect is achieved.
– Confirm proper electrosurgical generator settings before proceeding with surgery. Use
the lowest possible setting to achieve the desired effect. (This is important due to the poten-
tial of inadvertent burning at high voltage.)
INSTALLING THE ELECTRODES: (SEE ILLUSTRATION - )
1. Ensure the pencil is not connected to the generator, or the generator is Off or in the
Standby mode, if available.
2. Grasp the insulating sleeve on the electrode. Remove tip protector. Insert the electrode
into the pencil.
3. Ensure the electrode is fully inserted into the pencil. The shank and insulating sleeve
should fit securely into the pencil. If the shank and/or insulating sleeve does not fit, or the
insulation will not insert 3.2 mm (1/8"), do not use this electrode/pencil combination.
4. Refer to the generator instruction manual for proper procedures for connecting the active
accessory to the generator.
STORAGE AND HANDLING:
Device must be stored in a clean, cool and dry place.
It must be handled with care to avoid damage to the packaging and its content during
transportation and storage.
Instrument must not be in contact with acids or other corrosive liquids.
Sterility is guaranteed unless the package is opened or damaged.
Do not resterilize.
