active tip is in view and near target tissue. Deactivate the electrosurgical unit before the tip leaves
the surgical site.
The electrodes are intended for single use only. Discard after use in a puncture resistant container to
prevent injury. These electrodes are not designed to withstand resterilization. Do not resterilize.
For monopolar electrosurgical procedures, ensure that the patient return electrode is appropriately
selected, properly applied to the patient, and connected to the electrosurgical generator.
When applying the patient return electrode, ensure that the entire pad adheres to the patient. Do not
reuse single use patient return electrodes. Do not use the return electrode if the packaging is dam-
aged, or if the gel / adhesive material has dried. If the patient has moved or is repositioned after the
patient return electrode is applied, ensure that the return electrode firmly contacts the skin and that all
connections are intact.
Avoid spilling any solutions on the return electrode. If this occurs, remove the return electrode, dry
the skin, and apply a new return electrode. A moist environment may cause the return electrode to
peel off.
CAUTIONS
(FOR COATED ELECTRODES ONLY)
This electrode has a coating to reduce the sticking of eschar. Damage to the coating may occur if a
scratch pad or othe abrasive or sharp object is used to clean the electrode.
Using the coated electrode at a high power setting may cause damage to the coating.
Notice: Do not modify the electrode tip. Modifications to the tip may result in tip breakage or other damage.
IMPORTANT: Clean the electrode often with moist gauze or other material appropriate for the
electrode type.

NÁVOD NA POUŽITIE:
Maximálne nastavenie výkonu
– Nastavenie vysokého výkonu môže spôsobiť degradáciu elektródy a znížiť alebo narušiť
jej funkčnosť. Výrobca odporúča používať najnižšie možné nastavenie výkonu, ktorým sa
dosiahne požadovaný účinok.
– Odporúčané hodnoty nastavenia výkonu sa môžu líšiť v závislosti od chirurgických
techník, pacientov, elektród a okolností chirurgického zákroku. Ak systém nepoznáte
alebo ak vhodné nastavenie nie je známe, použite nastavenie, ktoré je nižšie ako bežné,
a postupne ho zvyšujte, kým sa nedosiahne požadovaný klinický účinok.
– Pred začiatkom zákroku skontrolujte správne nastavenie elektrochirurgického gen-
erátora. Používajte najnižšie možné nastavenie, ktorým sa dosiahne požadovaný účinok.
(Je to dôležité vzhľadom na možnosť neúmyselného popálenia pri vysokom napätí.)
INŠTALÁCIA ELEKTRÓD: (POZRITE SI OBRÁZOK – )
1. Skontrolujte, či elektrochirurgický hrot nie je pripojený ku generátoru a či je generátor
vypnutý alebo nastavený v pohotovostnom režime, ak je tento režim k dispozícii.
2. Uchopte elektródu za izolačnú manžetu. Zasuňte elektródu do elektrochirurgického hrotu.
3. Skontrolujte, či je elektróda úplne zasunutá do elektrochirurgického hrotu. Driek a izolačná
manžeta musia byť bezpečne uchytené v elektrochirurgickom hrote. Ak driek alebo
izolačná manžeta nezapadnú na svoje miesto alebo ak sa izolácia nezmestí do otvoru
priemeru 3,2 mm (1/8"), túto kombináciu elektródy a elektrochirurgického hrotu
nepoužívajte.
4. Správny postup pripojenia aktívneho príslušenstva ku generátoru nájdete v návode na
použitie generátora.
