Outline

This chapter describes disassembly and assembly procedures of the host machine. The service technician is to identify the cause
of host machine failures according to follow the disassembly procedures of each part to replace the defective parts or the
consumable parts.
• Before disassembling or assembling the host machine, be sure to disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
• When the Drum Cartridge is removed from the host machine before disassembling and assembling, be sure to put the
Photosensitive Drum in a protective bag even in a short period to prevent the adverse effect of light.
• Assembling procedures are followed by the reverse of disassembly unless any specification.
• Note the length, diameters and positions of screws when assembling the host machine. Be sure to use the screws in the
original position.
• Do not run the host machine with any parts removed as a general rule.
• Ground yourself by touching the metal part of the host machine before handling the PCB to reduce the possibility of damage
caused by static electricity.
• When replacing the part that the rating plate or the product code label is attached, be sure to remove the rating plate or the
product code label and attach it to the replacing part.
