Feed chemical may spray out of the hydraulic components during
maintenance work due to pressure in the liquid end of the metering
pump, the mixing chamber, the preparation tank and the system
pipework.
1.
When work is needed on the system: Disconnect the pump
from the mains/power supply and ensure that it cannot be
switched back on.
2.
Ensure that the system is at atmospheric pressure and drain
the system pipework.
INFO!: Refer also to the operating instructions for purchased parts
when troubleshooting.
A system fault/malfunction (collective alarm) is acoustically
reported with a warning tone and visually by the red warning light
on the control cabinet. The control also displays an error message.
The warning tone can be switched off by pressing
The activation of the downstream feed pump (polymer solution)
remains unaffected by the collective alarm.
The fault message must be acknowledged with the Reset key once
the cause of the fault has been eliminated so that the system can
restart operation following the fault.
Should a problem occur, which is not included in this list or should
a listed fault not be remedied by the suggested troubleshooting
measures, please contact ProMinent Service to remedy the
problem.
With every fault analysis, first consider the possibility that a capaci‐
tive proximity sensor or a concentrate flow sensor may be incor‐
rectly signalling a fault, because its sensitivity has been set too
high or it is triggering/responding to ambient conditions that have
suddenly changed.
Acknowledging fault messages
You must acknowledge fault messages.
n
If the system generates a fault message, visual and acoustic
n
signalling of the fault is triggered. The type and time of the fault
appears on the display at the same time as the fault message
is generated on the display of the control panel.
