Changing Group Properties

Users can be members of one or more groups. Making a user a member of a group
is the basic way to deliver a set of rights for a collection of users. Group properties
include:
• group type, indicating the type of user
• valid times for the group (When)
• Allow rights
• Redirect rights
• Options
The Rights Manager has the following standard groups:
• Logon: users are users who have not yet logged in and have not been
authenticated
• Guest: users who have guest rights allocated
• Normal: authenticated users with the rights allocated to their group; this is the
base group for all authenticated users at the location.
• User Group: the base group in which rights are allocated to all authenticated
users at the specified location.
See
Section 6.6.2, Modifying a User's Characteristics
