LOSSARY
The glossary defines terms that are used throughout the WLAN Security System.
Some of the following terms are in common usage but have WLAN Security
System-specific meanings. These terms are defined in context in the chapter where
they first appear.

specify packets that are permitted to be forwarded by a WLAN Access
Manager.
a means of proving that a client is who it claims to be through use of a
password or shared secret.
a machine, device, or user of the WLAN Security System.
a logical function of the WLAN Secure Server that performs two functions:
1) Coordinates between the WLAN Access Managers and the Rights
Manager
2) Coordinates WLAN Access Manager-to-WLAN Access Manager
communications, such as a roaming handoff.
a timer that determines how long before a a user must re-authenticate.
the Rights Manager location that a client belongs to if it does not associate
with any other location. Until you create another location, this is the location
to which all clients are associated.
define rights for users who are members of the group. A user can be a
member of a group and is given rights as part of the group
the rights given to someone who clicks the Guest button on the logon page.
the base group in which rights are allocated to all authenticated users at the
specified location.
a timer that controls how long before a client must re-authenticate after being
disassociated from a WLAN Access Manager.
is a group of wheres (WLAN Access Managers or WLAN Access Manager
ports). Some set of rights are associated with the location.
the rights given to a client who has not yet logged on
