Viewing Log Files
The WLAN Security System provides two types of logs for WLAN Secure Servers
and WLAN Access Managers:
• Informational logs that provide information about WLAN Security System
warnings
• Session logs that list each session
For information about Rights Manager logs, see
5.5.1
Informational Logs
Each WLAN Secure Server and WLAN Access Manager logs events to an internal
file. Viewing these logs provides important information on the activity of the
WLAN Secure Server and WLAN Access Manager.
To view log files:
Step 1.
Click View Log Files from the Main Menu.
The Log File appears, as shown in
EliteConnect WLAN Security System User Manual
Description
Lists the MAC addresses of all clients that are
currently connected or the specific client chosen
by the MAC address filter
When a client sends a packet, it puts its IP
address in the header of packet, which is the
client source. If the client address is Network
Address Translated by the WLAN Access
Manager, the WLAN Access Manager rewrites
the IP address so it appears as if the client comes
from the WLAN Access Manager, which is the
client's actual source IP address and port number
The client puts a destination IP address in a
packet, which is the client destination. The WLAN
Security System can rewrite packet's destination
IP address, which is the actual destination.
