Note that the Frankfort plane light, located on the side of
the column, can be moved up or down to accommodate
different head sizes. This is done by rotating the thumb
wheel that is located below the light slot.
Make sure that you have selected the right patient
and the panoramic exposure mode in the Dimaxis
software program before you take an exposure.
Refer to the Dimaxis User's Manual.
When you are ready to take an exposure touch the Ready
field on the main display. The unit will move to the ready
position for the selected multi-angle TMJ exposure
program.
On the exposure button and control panel a green
indicator light will come on. Additionally, the word READY
will be shown on the control panel display. The Dimaxis
program will show the Waiting for Ready message on the
computer screen.
The green indicator lights and the word READY will flash
while the unit moves to the ready position. They will stop
flashing when the unit has reached the ready position for
the selected multi-angle TMJ exposure program. The
Dimaxis program will now show the Waiting for Exposure
message on the computer screen.
Ask the patient to stand as still as possible.
Move to a protected area. In case you do not have a
protected area available, move at least two meters (seven
feet) from the X-ray. Protect yourself from radiation.
