User's Manual
Note that you can adjust the position of the temple
supports if needed. This will only be necessary if the
patient has an asymmetrical face and the midsagittal
plane light is not in the middle of the patient's face.
To do the adjustment, lift first the temple support adjusting
lever and move it then left or right until you have
positioned the patient's head so that the midsagittal plane
light coincides with the midsagittal plane. The temple
support adjusting lever is located on the underside of the
patient support table.
NOTE
The temple support adjusting lever must be
returned to the middle position before the next
patient is positioned to the unit.
Temple support
adjusting lever
Position the patient's head so that the Frankfort plane
coincides with the Frankfort plane light beam. To do this
support the back of the patient's head with your hand and
adjust the tilt of the patient's head by raising or lowering
the unit with the height adjusting buttons. The patient's
back should be straight. If necessary, stretch and
straighten the patient's neck by moving the unit up
slightly.
The Frankfort plane is a plane which joins the infra-orbital
point to the superior border of the external auditory
meatus.
