This selects the switches which can be operated on the control
panel when the CONTROL switch has been set to the REMOTE
position.
0000 DIS 0: None of the switches or buttons can be operated.
0001 ST&EJ 1: Only the STOP (ALL STOP) and EJECT buttons can be
operated.
This selects the time system displayed on the CTL counter.
0000 ±12h 0: The time is displayed using the 12-hour time system.
0001 24h 1: The time is displayed using the 24-hour time system.
This selects whether the REMAIN (remaining tape time) display is
to be superimposed on the MONITOR OUT connectors and liquid
crystal monitor screen.
0000 OFF 0: REMAIN display is not shown.
0001 ON 1: REMAIN display is shown.
<Notes>
O REMAIN display is not shown when the tape has been ejected
or when the remaining tape time is calculated after the tape has
been inserted.
O It is not shown when TIME has been selected as the setup
menu item No.008 (DISPLAY SEL) setting.
O It is not shown when tape start or tape end is detected and BOT
or EOT is displayed.
This selects what display is to be superimposed on the MONITOR
OUT connectors and liquid crystal monitor screen.
0000 TIME 0: Counter value is displayed.
0001 T&STA 1: Counter value and operation mode are displayed.
0002 T&S&M 2: In addition to the counter value and operation mode, the
remaining tape, tape format and error messages are displayed.
This selects the type of characters to be used for the
superimposed display on the VIDEO MONI OUT connector and
for the setup menus.
0000 WHITE 0: White characters on a solid black background
0001 W/OUT 1: White characters with black borders
This selects the recording and playback format.
0000 50M 0: DVCPRO50 (50 Mbps) is selected.
0001 25M 1: DVCPRO25 (25 Mbps) is selected.
This selects the format used for tape playback.
0000 MANUAL 0: The format corresponds to what is selected as the setup menu
item No.012 (SYS FORMAT) setting.
0001 AUTO 1: The format corresponds to the format of the recording on the
tape.
<Notes>
O Internal operation for VTR2 is forcibly set to MANUAL when an
editing mode has been selected.
O The automatic 525i/625i setting is not performed.
This selects the TV system.
0000 525 0: The 525 interlace/59.94 Hz system is selected.
0001 625 1: The 625 interlace/50 Hz system is selected.
<Note>
When this setting is changed, it is stored in the memory, and it
takes effect when the power is turned off and back on again.
